If you haven’t heard of FireEye let me introduce them a bit. FireEye is a cybersecurity company that deals with the detection and prevention of cyber-attacks. Next, we look at FireEye’s cloud security software. Before we jump into it would be prudent to mention the quote directly from the FireEye page from Gartner. “Through 2022, at least 95% of cloud security failures will be the customer’s fault”, This being the first time I have heard of this. But this is huge it means that through 2022 most cloud security breaches will because of a vulnerability missed. This just serves to emphasize the importance of cloud security. These vulnerabilities could come in many forms, but one would be missing the vulnerability of a cloud-connected application.

Moreover, many organizations have other applications not just cloud-based ones so let look at FireEye Endpoint security. Endpoint security covers everything from desktops, workstations to smartphones and IoT devices. Which are all attack vectors for malicious software, especially as we see a rise in ransomware attacks that use phishing as a primary entry point. Now that is a lot of devices and application these devices use so let’s drill down a bit more.
